Kabuki Dance 歌舞伎舞踊
The art of Kabuki buyō (Kabuki Dance), sometimes simply called Nihon buyō (Japanese Dance), is a central part of the kabuki theater. Most theaters will have programs with at least one, and often up to three, individual dance pieces (shosagoto) interspersed between dramatic pieces. Furthermore, within dramatic pieces a dance section is often the highlight of the scene, where the star actor can show their skill.
