| Notes | Kabuki scenario writer. He was a pupil of Namiki Shōzō. It is said that he knocked about Nara and Kawachi so he called himeself Nagawa taken from each capital letters (Na and Kawa) of Nara and Kawachi. He was active in Keihan (Kyoto and Osaka)in An'ei and Ten'mei(1772 through 1789). His date of birth and death is not exactly known. His representative works are "Iga goe norikake gappa", "Meiboku sendai hagi", "Tenga chaya mura." |
