Composante Notes This sketchbook of fabric swatches is particularly valuable as no costume sketches from the original production of Oklahoma! exist because they were destroyed in a fire. Image shows page of swatches for the dancers. Date not confirmed, but is likely 1943 or slightly earlier. Date on cover of sketchbook (not pictured) is 1952, but MCNY theater curator says this is incorrect. The sketchbook is for the original 1943 production.
