| Notes | Character types: child roles (koyaku). Nakamura Shogoro was a student of Nakamura Denkuro II, took the name Nakamura Inamatsu, and worked at a children's theater in Edo. In 1757 he changed his name to Nakamura Shogoro and palyed child roles at the Nakamura Theater. In 1771 he plyed at the Morita Theater and then played at the Ichimura Theater in 1774. The following year he went to Osaka and changed the character of his name, Shogoro. He was active from 1757 to 1776. |
