| 附注 | Character types: young female roles (waka onnagata); young male leads (wakashu); young villains (iro aku); jitsugoto. Group affiliations: Shin Yorozuya. Banzo Aizo was a student of Ichimura Uzaemon VIII, and his name was originally Banzo Aizo. In 1757 he played a child role at the Ichimura Theater in Edo and in 1767 became Sanogawa Ichimatsu II. In 1781 he changed his name to Matsumoto Sanjuro, and in 1784 he changed his name back to Bando Aizo. In November he last played at the Kiri Theater. He was active from 1757 to 1784. |
